I hope you’re all well and looking forward to the holidays next week. I have a few short updates for you below:
Thank you to the PTA and volunteers!
I would like to thank the PTA and all volunteers who have contributed so much to our school in the past month in particular. We have had such great parent support in everything from art lessons painting jars, supervision on school trips and a very kind presentation of gifts to our fabulous SNAs and SET teachers today. Our school team greatly appreciates this kindness and support.
Monthly value: Responsibility
Today, our two 4th classes led a wonderful assembly with short dramas they wrote and acted in on the theme of responsibility.
PTA EGM
The Parent Teacher Association’s EGM will take place on Wednesday, 17th January 2024 at 19:30 in the school hall. The two items on the agenda are a vote to ratify the new constitution and a vote to elect a new PTA Committee. The proposed new constitution was recently shared by email with all families. If parents/guardians wish to suggest an amendment, they can issue the text to ptaballinteeretns@gmail.com
Winter Solstice Spiral and Discos
Our Winter Solstice Spiral and discos will take place next Thursday, 21st December. More information on the discos can be found on posters outside the school.
Kung Fu lessons
I have attached details for Master Dong’s Kung Fu classes which are starting on Tuesdays and Thursdays early in the school in the New Year, check previous Aladdin email of 27th November 2023. Master Dong offers all types of classes from Tai Ci to Self Defense. There are still some places available and it may be just the thing to try for your New Year Resolution. Lost & Found
Our caretaker Jim has asked me to remind parents/guardians and children to please check the lost & found coat rail at the front of the school. There are lots of unclaimed jackets and jumpers. We encourage parents/guardians to label their children’s jackets and tops with their children’s names so lost property can be easily reunited with its owner. Please note that at the end of each term, unclaimed clothing in the lost & found is donated to charity. Jim will be taking any remaining clothing on the lost & found rail to the SVP charity shop on Thursday, 21st December. Please claim lost property by this date.
School holidays
I wish to remind you that the school will close at 11:30am on Friday, 22nd December for the Winter Holidays. The school will reopen on Monday, 8th January 2024.
